HIGHLIGHTS

This 14‑day, 2,400 km Balkan motorcycle journey takes riders through Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, and Greece — a sweeping route of mountains, lakes, canyons, national parks, and two seas. It blends scenic riding with deep cultural immersion, historic sites, and the kind of food and hospitality Eastern Europe is famous for.

With 4‑ and 5‑star accommodation, multilingual guides, and the option for family or friends to follow in a support vehicle, the tour balances adventure with comfort. Starting in Sofia or Thessaloniki, the route moves through iconic destinations like Ohrid, Valbona, Ulcinj, Vlora, Saranda, and Thessaloniki, offering a mix of riding days and well‑timed rest days in unforgettable locations.

The tour opens in Sofia, Bulgaria’s vibrant capital, before heading southwest through rolling mountains and rural villages toward Bitola in North Macedonia. From there, riders trace the shores of Lake Prespa and the legendary Lake Ohrid — Europe’s oldest freshwater lake — visiting the 10th‑century Monastery of St. Naum and staying in a lakeside complex with sweeping views.

Crossing into Albania, the route climbs into the dramatic Albanian Alps and the Valbona Valley, where a rest day allows time for hiking, spa relaxation, and soaking in the mountain scenery. The following days deliver classic Albanian riding: twisting mountain roads, lakes, and panoramic viewpoints before descending to the seaside town of Lezha.

Montenegro brings a shift in landscape — from the high plateau around Žabljak and the Durmitor massif to the Adriatic coast. Ulcinj, known as “Little Dubrovnik,” becomes a two‑night stop, giving riders time to explore the old citadel or simply enjoy the crystal‑clear waters of the Adriatic.

Re‑entering Albania, the tour follows the coastline south through Durrës, Vlora, and the mountain roads above Gjirokastër. The Ionian Riviera around Saranda offers some of the Mediterranean’s best beaches, with turquoise water and a mix of lively and secluded bays. The final riding day crosses into Greece, passing through Pindos National Park and beneath the towering presence of Mount Olympus before arriving in Thessaloniki for a final rest day of food, music, seaside cafés, and celebration.

Our journey ends with a return to Sofia and departure day — closing a loop through five countries, countless landscapes, and some of the Balkans’ most memorable roads.
