HIGHLIGHTS

We take you from the shore of the Irish Sea, through the mountains of the incredible Lake District, where we ride all the great passes. There will be plenty of time to stop, take photos and revel in the scenery. We take the iconic Old Coach road with great views of Blencathra along the way.

It is then onto the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, a completely different scenery as we explore a multitude of different green lanes and the faster sweeping curves compared to the narrow and imposing roads of the Lake District

On our last day, we ride the longest green lane in the UK as we traverse the driest National Park in England, the North York Moors, a bleak open moorland environment, filled with Heather and grazing sheep.

Our Tour starts in Whitehaven in Cumbria on the West Coast of England, our route takes us through all the great passes of the Lake District, past many of the Great Lakes, and along the unsealed Old Coach Road (as well as numerous others).

Day 2 takes us through the Yorkshire Dales, with its faster, sweeping roads, the iconic Buttertubs Pass, we call in at England's Highest pub, ride multiple unsealed trails that are mainly rock and gravel, including the old Roman Cam High Road.

Day 3 finishes in the fishing town of Whitby, but not before riding England's longest unsealed road as we ride over the North York Moors

There is no hurry, each day there is plenty of time to stop, admire the scenery, take photos, and have a coffee or two.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Lake District (195 miles)

We start the night before and have Dinner together to get to know each other, provide a briefing, and answer any of your last-minute questions.

On our first day riding, we head through the Lake District, taking in all the great passes, including the iconic, if not infamous Hardknott Pass early in the day, and finish with the Old Coach Road after riding several other unsealed roads in the area.

Day 2: Yorkshire Dales National Park (160 miles)

The scenery changes dramatically, gone are a lot of the single-track roads winding their way up, down, and between England's highest mountains.

Today, it's rolling hills as we ride through the Yorkshire Dales, stopping along the way at landmarks such as the Ribblehead Viaduct and riding the lovely Buttertubs Pass.

Today we increase the number of trails and green lane miles as we ride the Roman Cam High Road, cross streams, and ride over the fells before stopping for the night and a well-earned rest.

Day 3: North York Moors National Park (140 miles)

We finish the tour with another change of scenery, we ride England's longest unsealed road and cross the North York Moors.

The scenery across the moors, some would say, is bleak and barren; we prefer to think of them as an almost carless playground that has some of the best roads winding their way across the beautiful Heather moorland.

We finish our ride in the beautiful town of Whitby on the East Coast around mid to late afternoon.
