Starting on Christmas Eve, this 9-night, 8-day adventure combines the thrill of motorcycle touring with the festive spirit of the holiday season, creating an unforgettable journey through the ancient Lanna Kingdom
Terrain & Riding: Primarily well-maintained paved roads with occasional single-track paths, mild inclines, or minor road imperfections (such as small potholes or light road debris). Moderate daily distances that allow a relaxed pace.
Cultural Experience: Generally familiar culture with slight local nuances. Basic modern conveniences are readily available, food is accessible and familiar, and hot showers and private facilities are consistent at every overnight stop.

Important Information
Due to the ongoing conflict in Iran and the wider Middle East, fuel prices have increased significantly, and we are currently experiencing an increase of approximately 30% in fuel costs.
As a result, we have had to introduce a temporary fuel surcharge of 300 THB per day.
We want to assure our customers that this surcharge is temporary. As soon as the conflict is resolved and fuel prices return to a more reasonable level, we will remove the surcharge immediately.

Itinerary
Night 1 - Welcome to Chiang Mai (Hotel Check-in)
Complimentary Welcome Night. We understand travel fatigue, so we’ve included an extra night’s accommodation to help you unwind and rejuvenate before embarking on your epic motorcycle adventure. Relax, soak in the festive atmosphere, and prepare for the thrilling days ahead.
Day 1 - Christmas Eve: Chiang Mai → Phayao → Nan
Christmas Eve Departure: We’ll collect you from your hotel at 7:30 AM on Christmas Eve (tour day one). Head out for a special festive breakfast at Route 66 Bikers Cafe, complete paperwork, attend a safety briefing, receive your motorcycle, and hit the road for your magical Christmas-New Year adventure.
Start your Christmas Eve adventure on one of Thailand’s most spectacular riding routes, showcasing stunning scenery from rolling hills and lush forests to tranquil lakes and picturesque villages. The Christmas Eve journey from Chiang Mai to Nan is truly magical.
Departing Chiang Mai toward Phayao, navigate winding roads offering magnificent mountain and forest vistas. Phayao, a charming lakeside town, provides authentic glimpses into traditional Thai culture. Visit local temples adorned with festive decorations, sample delicious street food with holiday specialities, and browse unique handicrafts perfect for Christmas gifts.
Continue through scenic countryside past rice paddies and small villages celebrating the season. Approaching Nan, ride through a stunning mountain pass with incredible landscape views. Upon arrival, explore this captivating town and discover its rich history and culture enhanced by holiday festivities.
Day 2 - Nan → Bo Kluea (800-Year Salt Mine) → Doi Phukha → The Nan Loop
Embark on the scenic Nan Loop, one of Northern Thailand’s most beautiful and iconic routes. This journey combines stunning natural beauty, cultural experiences, and significant landmarks.
The ride to Bo Kluea winds through mountain roads, lush forests, rolling hills, and charming villages showcasing traditional Thai holiday customs. Bo Kluea features an 800-year-old salt mine operational since the 13th century. Learn about Thailand’s salt mining history and observe traditional methods still used today.

The Ride
During the tour, you’ll explore beautiful countryside roads and charming villages, where you can witness the local way of life and taste delicious northern Thai cuisine. You’ll also have the chance to visit cultural hubs such as Nan and Chiang Rai, where you can explore local markets, temples, and art galleries.
Some of the highlights of the tour include the famous Nan Loop, which takes you through the 800-year-old salt mine at Bo Kluea and the stunning Doi Phukha National Park. You’ll also ride through the Golden Triangle, visit the famous White Temple in Chiang Rai, and explore the hippie town of Pai, known for its laid-back vibe and scenic surroundings.

Thai cuisine is defined by its dynamic interplay of fundamental flavours—sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy. Rather than isolating these tastes, Thai cooking harmonises them within a single dish or across a shared meal, relying heavily on fresh herbs, aromatic pastes, and quick cooking methods.
In the North, the cuisine is Mild, herbal, and heavily influenced by Myanmar and Laos. Uses minimal coconut milk and prefers sticky rice over jasmine rice. with famous local dished bing Khao Soi (coconut curry egg noodle soup), Sai Oua (herbal pork sausage).
