HIGHLIGHTS

This 10‑day adventure takes you from the coastline of Northern Greece into the dramatic mountains of Albania — a region quickly becoming one of Europe’s hottest destinations for riders. With eight full riding days, you’ll carve through the high peaks of Valbona, the stone‑built villages of Gjirokastër, and the historic landscapes around Berat. Albania’s famous SH22 and SH23 roads deliver endless hairpins, sweeping views, and that rare feeling of riding somewhere truly wild and undiscovered.

The tour blends both on‑road and off‑road options, making it perfect for big‑bike riders who want flexibility. Each day ends in carefully chosen mountain villas, coastal towns, or boutique hotels where you can unwind, share stories, and enjoy the warm hospitality the region is known for. From ferry crossings on Komani Lake to the “City of a Thousand Windows,” every day brings a new highlight.

Starting and finishing in Thessaloniki, Greece, the route loops through lakes, valleys, UNESCO towns, and high‑alpine passes. You’ll experience Albania’s rugged beauty from every angle — from its crystal‑clear Adriatic coastline to its remote mountain tracks. With small groups, expert guides, and the option for family or friends to follow in a support vehicle, this tour delivers the perfect balance of challenge, culture, and comfort.

ITINERARY

Day 1. Thessaloniki – Arrival

Touch down in Thessaloniki, the beating heart of Northern Greece. After your transfer to the hotel, we gather for an evening briefing — the moment you meet the KHL Moto Travel team, your fellow riders, and get your first taste of the adventure ahead.

Day 2. Thessaloniki to Pogradec – 270 km

We kick off with a scenic run through Northern Greece toward Lake Ohrid — one of Europe’s deepest and oldest freshwater lakes. The day ends right on its shores, where calm water and mountain silhouettes set the tone for the journey.

Day 3. Pogradec to Valbona – 340 km

A big day of riding. We climb toward Mount Korab and drop into Kukës, entering the legendary SH22 and SH23 — roads so twisty you’ll swear you can see your own number plate in the hairpins. The day finishes in the breathtaking Valbona Valley, deep in the Albanian Alps.

Day 4. Valbona to Lezhë – 210 km

We cross the mountains once more, then board the Komani Lake ferry — a surreal ride through narrow river canyons and towering cliffs. More Albanian backroads await as we roll toward the coast and settle in for the night.

Day 5. Lezhë to Berat – 180 km

We follow the Adriatic coastline and sweep inland toward Berat — the “City of a Thousand Windows” and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Expect stone houses, dramatic hillsides, and one of Albania’s most atmospheric old towns.

Day 6. Berat – Rest Day… or Off‑Road

Take it easy and explore Berat at your own pace — or gear up for an optional off‑road ascent of Mount Tomorr. Tight switchbacks, rugged terrain, and a summit at 2,400 m make it a thrilling challenge for adventure‑bike riders. The reward: Tyrbe e Abaz Aliut and views that feel like the edge of the world.

Day 7. Berat to Vlorë – 160 km

A relaxed day along the Albanian Riviera. Crystal‑clear water, warm air, and sunsets over the Adriatic make this one of the most scenic stretches of the tour.

Day 8. Vlorë to Kastoria – 311 km

We ride through the Gjirokastër mountains, passing Roman bridges, stone villages, and landscapes that feel like Albanian Tuscany. Then it’s back into Greece and on to Lake Kastoria — peaceful, reflective, and the perfect place to unwind.

Day 9. Kastoria to Thessaloniki – 200 km

We cruise back toward Thessaloniki, a city known for its live music, cafés, and laid‑back charm. A farewell dinner wraps up the tour — a final chance to relive the best moments and swap stories from the road.

Day 10. Departure Day

Breakfast, check‑out, and airport transfer. Time to head home — with Albania’s mountains still buzzing in your helmet.
